If you own a Nikon, it might be the SB-900. If you own a Canon, it might be the 580EX.
And, it might be a used Vivitar 283 from Ebay or a $150 replacement strobe from Hong Kong.
Choosing the proper strobe to use as an off camera flash can be a little confusing. Nikon has its CLS system. Canon uses infrared. There are Radio Poppers, Pocket Wizards, Cactus Remotes and the possibility of cables instead of wireless.
You’ll come away from this class with a better understanding of what each type of strobe offers and which method is best for your desired results.
